"The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts, and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires... From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn't resist. I saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside--so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I'd been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become. Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession..."
****POSSIBLE, very tiny... Bared To You spoiler****
Oh Gideon and Eva, how I have missed y'all! I am seriously stoked about this book. At the end of Reflected In You, I was floored by Gideon.
“He caught me to him, his arms banded tight around me. His face pressed into my throat. "Where do we go from here?"
I held him.
"Wherever this takes us. Together.”
****insert me fanning myself and taking a huge gulp of wine****
Ya know, these books are one of the first ones that Ash, Fall, and I disagreed on.
While I swoon over Gideon, Ash thinks he is a crazy stalker (keep in mind she has only read the first one, Bared To You) and I'm not sure Fall ever got over the fact that Gideon has long hair. Hahaha! I'm pretty sure she likes the books though.
Ladies wanna chime in here?
Yes, yes I do want to chime in!! Hey!! It's Ash, and let me tell you how UN-stoked I am about this book.
Now, I have a strict "always finish a book" policy. In fact, I have only not finished one book in all of my reading career. (A career that spans almost 25 years.... Almost!)
Bared To You was *almost* book number 2! I told my husband at least 10 times how much I HATED this book!
Let me tell you what I DID like about the book. I loved that Eva was independent. That she wasn't intimidated by G's money.
I loved her relationship with Cary. I've always wanted a gay guy for a BFF and roomie. And the fact that she can tell it like it is, even when he screws up and the truth hurts. Not all friends want to hear the truth. Also, her crazy mother. I can totally relate. I imagine I would act like that too if my daughter went through what Eva did.
Now.......Gideon creeped me out. What Aly found endearing, I found to be slightly crazy. Like when he recreated her bedroom at his house...... Uhhhhh..... Not romantic. *cue the serial killer movie music here*
And I have to agree with Fall..... Long hair? Yucka! Especially for a sophisticated businessman.
All of that being said, I have not read the second one..... I've heard it's better than the first...... And I'm a pretty forgiving person. I'll give it a shot and let you know if my opinion of G changes at all.
To everyone looking forward to Entwined With You..... Hope you enjoy!!!
Well there you have it ladies. Apparently a sexy billionaire, who is so in love with his girl that it he would go to any means to make her feel safe and comfortable, just doesn't work for everyone. HAHA!
