From the moment he lays eyes on Sinners’ new front of house soundboard operator, drummer Eric Sticks knows he has to make Rebekah his. Unfortunately, she’s too busy trying to seduce guitarist Trey Mills to pay him much attention. Rebekah never planned to fall for the tall, goofy drummer with the weird sense of humor and a heart the size of the galaxy. But Eric makes her laugh and his constant attention makes her feel sexy and irresistible–exactly what she needs after the things her last lover said to her. A woman who gives as much as she takes, Rebekah makes Eric feel like a total stud–exactly what he needs after surviving a decade of watching the incredibly talented members of Sinners from the wings.
When I first started Wicked Beats, I made a vow not to leave my house until it was finished. Sure I was glued to the book. But more importantly I did not have room in my purse for three pair of dry panties, an electric fan, 3 bottles of wine, and wet floor sign.
Apparently I throw jazz hands when falling...who knew!?
It's no secret that the quirky, funny, voyeur Eric Sticks is not my favorite Sinner. Yes, he sounds fun but when you are competing against the likes of Trey-FUCKING-Mills, "fun" just isn't going to cut it. About 25 pages into Wicked Beat, I became a Sticks groupie! He is officially my favorite now. I'm sure Trey and Jace will both be heartbroken when they hear this news. No need to fight boys, I'm always down for a Sinners foursome...just sayin. Okay back to Eric!
Mr Sticks was absolutely hilarious. I could not stop laughing. However this book wasn't all about Eric. Reb is easily my favorite Lady Sinner. She is kind, sweet, and definitely not a push over. She is the perfect complement to my new book boyfriend. Aside from sweating and laughing my ass off, I was actually surprised at the emotional side Eric and Reb's relationship. They actually had a very deep connection, I wish Eric's past had been explored a little more.
