Catch My Fall
By Ella Fox
Our Rating: 4 Glasses of Wine

Mia Reeve’s faith, trust and sense of security were all taken away in the blink of an eye. In need of a fresh start, she settles into a new town and begins to make a new life. Tristan Chamberlain has always kept girls at arms length and he has no intention of changing. He’s caring, smart, handsome, but he’s also dealing with a lifetime of guilt that’s slowly but surely destroying him. Sometimes the thing that you run from is the one thing that will save you. Separately, they’re both free-falling. Together, they’re about to find that love can create the strongest safety net of all.

Fall's Review:

HOLY SHIT! 2 words that sum up the whole book! Really..........WOW......this book threw me down the stairs then helped me up and gave me a hug just to push me back down the stairs. I have never read anything by Ella Fox before and after reading Catch my Fall her other books are on my TBR list. I honestly shed tears at one point in this book and found my jaw hanging on the floor. When I write reviews I tend to sway either towards a really good  "YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK" review or a more negative "ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME ALREADY?!!?" So I am gonna switch it up a little, and try more of a pro and con type review. Again for sake of the book there will be no spoilers here because this is a book that slaps you in the face and then hugs you while crying "please forgive me!".

So lets start with what I DID like: I loved the supporting characters. They really were such a huge part of the book that without them we would have been missing so much! Luckily we will be seeing more of them in the next book.......squeeee!!!! A given is that I LOVED Tristan he has that all around bad boy, jock vibe that makes everyone think he is the perfect player. What got me most about Tristan is the softer side, the side that authors don't let you see until the character feels comfortable. Even though at times it was hard to digest, the description of the abuse was very helpful in picturing what was happening to these people dancing around in your head. There were quit a few "flashbacks" between the two characters. Normally I find this annoying, it can make the story line harder to follow. However Ella used the flashbacks as a way to tell us the readers the questions we were all asking in our minds. Without them I think the story would not have flowed as smoothly.

OK now things that got on my nerves: A big fat #1 goes to the nicknames!!! What the Hell?!?!? They are the worst nicknames two characters have EVER been called!! That really annoyed me through out the whole book. Now let me admit one thing here real quick...I am a HEA girl all the way! So when not all the "bad guys" suffered, yeah that kind of makes me want to jump into the book and shoot them all myself. But who knows maybe Ella has big plans for them in the next book. Lastly....the ending or as some would call it a cliffhanger. This book was written as a stand alone and the next book in this series will follow 2 other characters. So when you wrap the book up and you give us a happy epilogue and you are just starting to think " finally...finally they are going have their happily ever after" BAM! Cliffhanger! Trust me when I say it will NOT leave you wanting to jump off the roof of your house however it does make you think to yourself, "REALLY!?!?!?"

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage."

This battered and bruised reader give Catch my Fall by Ella Fox 4 Glasses of White Zin...however to make it through the book you might need something a little stronger! Until next time Ms. Fox keep on doing what you rock at!!! You have a lot of battered hearts to sew back together  *wink*....(sneaks back into the room) Oh and P.S. Tristan has a twin!!!!!! *waves*
