Ash's review:

Not to sound cheesy, but boy did Pam deliver!!!!!  My first encounter with Pam Godwin was her novel, Beneath the Burn and I absolutely LOVED it.  So when I found out that she had written another one I jumped at the chance to read it.  And I was NOT disappointed.  Deliver was amazing and it really snapped me out of my reading slump!  I read it in about 24 hours!!!!  Which is impressive considering I had been working on a different book for darn near 2 weeks!!!!

Deliver was not quite as dark as BTB, and I think it was because of Josh.  While he had a side to him that he had kept suppressed for 21 years, he was still a bright spot of hope in a deep, dark world.  A world that he was thrust in to against his will.

I loved Liv.  Even though she was supposed to be the 'bad guy', there was something about her, even from the beginning, that made me want to root for her.  Once you got further in to the story, you learned exactly what that reason was.

Pam is a master at story telling.  She does a wonderful, amazing job thrusting you right in the middle of her story.  And her twists!!!!!  I literally gasped out loud when I realized what was really going on!!!  I promise, you will NOT be disappointed at the end of Deliver.

This blogger is giving Pam Godwin's 'Deliver' an entire BOTTLE  of sparkling grape juice...... Being 8 months pregnant really puts a damper on your white zin consumption!!!!

Fall's review:

First and foremost....... HOLY SHIT! I bow to the greatness that is Pam Godwin. I spanked this book and made it my bitch...hahaha! No seriously, I read Deliver in less then 24 hours because it was THAT AMAZING!!

Beneath the Burn was the first book I read by the angst master Pam. It was a book I raved about and told all my friends to read while atthe same time thinking, how does one write something so deep and dark with just a sliver of light coming through? When Aly (yes the Aly Martinez of the Wrecked and Ruined series) told Ash and I that Pam was at it again I thought to myself, how is she going to top Beneath the Burn? Well ladies, once again Pam does NOT disappoint. I agree with Ash, where Beneath the Burn was darker, Deliver was mentally dark but emotionally a little lighter.

Josh is the All American boy. Sexy, smart, a killer smile and the star of the football team. With an amazing heart and personality to boot, what woman wouldn't want him? With his faith and his family by his side, Josh thinks he has his life planned out. Work hard, study hard, make mom and dad proud and be the good Christian son they raised and expect him to be. He never would have thought meeting the cute girl stranded on the side of the road would forever change his life and his beliefs.

Liv looks sweet and innocent, until you get her behind closed doors. Having her virtue taken from her at a young age has hardened Liv's heart and soul. Raised and trained to act and feel a certain way takes a lot out of a girl.  But when Josh catches Liv's eye there is just something about him that she can't let go of. She knows that she's broken and tainted and no one will ever love her but it doesn't stop her from pulling Josh into her world of rules and pain. Can a broken heart be mended? Can love and pain exist to form balance?

If you have never read BTB or Deliver by Pam Godwin I HIGHLY recommend you rectify that by going and buying her books immediately. You will thank me! However, be prepared for LOTS of angst, and twists and turns. Your heart will feel like its on the ride of is life. This avid reader gives Pam Godwin's Deliver a whole bottle of the strongest wine you can find. Trust me you're going to need it!!!  And some chocolate!!!

Review: Unexpected Consequences by Sloan Johnson

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

Zeke Reed lives his life by his rules, the biggest one being that he refuses to settle down. Through the years, it has become a running joke amongst his circle of friends that his condo would be well served by the installation of a revolving door.
That’s what makes his friendship with Mary and Jeff work. All three of them are looking for some no-strings-attached fun. Until fate steps in, making them all take a look at what’s been developing while they’ve been busy fooling around.
Unfortunately, every decision in life has consequences. When you choose to openly share your life with more than one person, things get complicated. Will Zeke, Jeff and Mary be able to stand together as the world tries to pull them apart?

EEEEKKKKK!!!!!!  I have been waiting on this one!!!!  I think I emailed the tour company three times to make DANG sure I got on the list!!!!

And Sloan Johnson has delivered once again!!!  Unexpected Consequences is the third book in the Isthmus Alliance series and follows the lives of Zeke, Jeff and Mary.  It picks up immediately at the end of her second book, Unexpected Protector.

Let me start by saying, her cover......H-O-T!!!  I usually do not really pay attention to covers, but this one......wowzer!  Ok, now that I'm done swooning over the cover models, let me get to the actual story.

This book has it all.  Drama, excitement and of course, hot steamy, panty melting bedroom scenes...... And even better, three active participants in the bedroom. Without revealing too much, their "no strings attached" triangle quickly becomes much more than that.

I have loved this series and cannot wait to see what else comes from Sloan's brilliant mind!!!  This WZB blogger is giving Unexpected Consequences 4 glasses of Sparkling Grape juice....... Three more weeks and we will be back to the good stuff ;)

sloan  About Sloan Johnson Sloan Johnson is a big city girl trapped in a country girl’s body. While she longs for the hustle and bustle of New York City or Las Vegas, she hasn’t yet figured out how to sit on the deck with her morning coffee, watching the deer and wild turkeys in the fields while surrounded by concrete and glass. When she was three, her parents received their first call from the principal asking them to pick her up from school. Apparently, if you aren’t enrolled, you can’t attend classes, even in Kindergarten. The next week, she was in preschool and started plotting her first story soon after. Later in life, her parents needed to do something to help their socially awkward, uncoordinated child come out of her shell and figured there was no better place than a bar on Wednesday nights. It’s a good thing they did because this is where she found her love of reading and writing. Who needs socialization when you can sit alone in your bedroom with a good book?
Now, Sloan is a tattooed, purple haired mom of two kids, one of which was a thank you present to her husband for letting her get a Staffordshire Terrier with more anxiety issues than Sloan has, which is saying something. She’s been kicked out of the PTA in two school districts and is no longer asked to help with fundraisers because she’s been known to lose herself in a good book and forget that she has somewhere to be.
