Meet Oliver & Vivian in this sexy, quirky & emotional stand-alone. You will laugh, you will cry and most of all, you will not be disappointed!

"What lies beneath my veiled perfection is the ugly truth—my truth, my reality, my destiny."
Vivian Graham has an acceptance letter into Harvard, a badass tattoo, loyal friends, ties to marijuana, a penchant for Dunkin’ Donuts, and her pesky V-card.
Everyday she takes the Red Line to her job at The Green Pot in Boston while her friends enter the coveted, black iron gates to higher learning. The ramifications from a tragic accident have put her life on hold while time marches on for everyone around her.
After graduating from Harvard Law, Boston native, Oliver Konrad, moves to Portland to start his career and his life. Three years later, after a horrific discovery, he returns home to trade in his three-piece suit for leather work boots and his suburban home for a condo in Cambridge.
All he brought back to the East Coast was an aversion to pillows and secrets he keeps hidden behind a mysterious locked door. Oliver’s days are predictable and his nights are lonely until he meets Vivian on the subway. Her long raven hair, green eyes, and mile-long legs are achingly sexy, but the way she "innocently" fingers and licks her Boston Kreme doughnut can only be described in two words—complete torture.
When their paths cross at every turn, laughter is abundant, friendship is easy, and love is unintentional. However, their future seems improbable.

This was my first book that I have read by the talented Jewel Ann. I must say that I was not expecting the story that unfolded before me when I started this book. What an amazing ride. Every emotion the human body can have I felt while reading this book. Idle Bloom is not for everyone as it deals with serious, real life issues. These may be a trigger for some, so tread lightly but also be open minded. We as readers all have our "favorite" genre to read and all have the "perfect" story in our heads. I personally love a variety of books and get bored reading the same old story line. This book was not by anyway a cookie cutter story and it was one of the reasons I highly enjoyed it.

Vivan and Oliver meet on the subway. With a dunkin donuts fetish she doesn't realize that she has almost every mans attention as she licks the cream from her donut. Oliver can't believe that this beautiful girl doesn't realize what she is doing to the male population of the subway car, including himself. As luck would have it they quickly find themselves in the same place and the same time and a friendship unfolds. Both scarred by pasts that are best left buried, they fall into an easy pattern. When your heart is guarded for so long it is hard to break down the walls you have built. Vivan and Oliver have sexual chemistry, friendship and a common denominator in the secrets that they keep hidden. As they grow individually and together they slowly start to let each other in. When Vivan finds out that Oliver has more than one secret--secrets that could tear them apart--her walls quickly go back up.

Love is patient, love is kind, love heals all wounds? Can two lost souls help each other heal and maybe in the process find happiness together? Is love really strong enough to endure the truth? Only time will tell......

"I used to think time stood still when we were together. He was afraid to look back and I was afraid to look forward. Now I realize during all those perfect moments that seemed to stand still, we were healing and growing, loving and learning in the light of each other's hearts...We were two souls in Idle Bloom."

I have to say this book was really good. You had no idea what was going on and when you thought maybe......BAM you woke up in left field. I hope to read more by Jewel soon and look forward to her future works we well. If you enjoy books that are different and evoke emotions other then lust and romance this book is for you. I would recommend adding it to your TBR list. I give Idle Bloom by Jewel E. Ann 4.5 glasses of wine! Cheers and happy reading!

"It's as if she's starving and I'm the only one in the entire world that has what she needs to survive. Will she wake up one day and realize that I've poisoned her? Will I survive if she does?"

Jewel is a free-spirited romance junkie with a quirky sense of humor.
With 10 years of flossing lectures under her belt, she took early retirement from her dental hygiene career to stay home with her three awesome boys and manage the family business. After her best friend of nearly 30 years suggested a few books from the Contemporary Romance genre, Jewel was hooked. Devouring two and three books a week but still craving more, she decided to practice sustainable reading, AKA writing. When she’s not donning her cape and saving the planet one tree at a time, she enjoys yoga with friends, good food with family, rock climbing with her kids, watching How I Met Your Mother reruns, and of course…heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, panty-scorching novels.
