Falls Review
A Whole Bottle

This is the first book that I have read by the talented L.B. Simmons. I am now a forever fangirl and am going to read her other books. This book released in 2014 but I had not heard of it (I must live under a rock) until the email for a review tour graced my blog email. The synopsis grabbed me from the start and so I said "what the heck?" and signed up. I am SO glad that I did. This book was amazing on so many levels. The heartache......oh the heartache. It's the kind that you don't think you can take anymore and then something amazing happens and you think to yourself ok.....I can do this! This book will capture you from the beginning and hold on tight for the entire ride. Not until the last word do you realize that you were holding your breath.

Aubrey lives in the shadows. Hiding and concealing herself to the outside world the best she can. She doesn't want people to look at her, notice her, pay attention to her. She doesn't want these things because of her life, it's tainted, black, and cloaked by death.'s all she knows and those who have been close to her die. The solution? Don't get close to anyone. She alters herself to stay hidden, no longer is she the blonde haired, blue eyed girl she once was. Raven is what she knows herself to be now. We can't always get what we want though. When she goes away to college her hopes of living in solitude are blown away when Quinn, her roommate, instantly takes to her. Add in Kaeleb, a boy from her past that she tried but never forgot and the three form a unique friendship. Slowly Aubrey begins to heal and step into the light. Brought together by friendship and love, Aubrey has hope that maybe she can have both and not be damned. When tragedy strikes and it propels Aubrey back to the past her world begins to be consumed by darkness yet again. Can love, hope and friendship keep her out of the dark and in the light?

This book will change the way you look at all others. It's what I would call a "game changer". It's so beautifully written. The heartache, the hope and love all rolled into a story that leaves your heart beating like hummingbird wings in your chest. If you, like me, have not read The Resurrection of Aubrey Miller then I HIGHLY recommend that you read it ASAP. Have a box of tissues and a bottle of wine handy and maybe even some form of chocolate. Lock yourself in your bedroom, bathroom, wherever people will leave you alone and allow yourself to be consumed. You won't regret it! I gave The Resurrection of Aubrey Miller by L.B. Simmons a whole bottle of wine and a chocolate cake too!!!! I look forward to reading more of her books. Cheers and happy reading!!!!
